Our Team on the Ground (Cambodia)
At the centre of Heartprint is our Khmer team — the people who bring our work to life every single day.
Many of them grew up in the very circumstances we now work to change. They understand hardship, not from a distance, but from lived experience. They know what it means to go without, to face uncertainty, and to fight for a better future.
Today, they are doing exactly that — not just for themselves, but for others.
They are mentors, leaders, and trusted members of their communities. They are the reason children feel safe at the Heartprint Community Centre, the reason families feel supported, and the reason our programs truly make a difference.
Working alongside them are Heartprint founders, Garry and Wendy, who live in Cambodia among the local team. Their presence on the ground reflects Heartprint’s deep commitment — not just to serve communities, but to be part of them. Together, they share in the daily life, challenges, and successes of the people they support.
This work is built on trust, respect, and deep cultural understanding.
By investing in local Khmer staff, Heartprint ensures that change comes from within the community itself — led by those who know it best, and shaped with care for Cambodia’s culture and traditions.

Our Australian board is made up of people from different walks of life, each bringing their own skills, experiences, and perspectives. What unites them is a shared commitment to creating real, lasting impact.
This is not a board that sits still.
They travel regularly to Cambodia, walking alongside our team on the ground, listening to stories, learning from communities, and ensuring that every project stays true to its purpose.
They are deeply invested — not just in the work, but in the people behind it.
As a younger board, they are also building for the future, ensuring Heartprint continues to grow, adapt, and support communities for years to come.

In the UK, a small but dedicated team works quietly and consistently to support Heartprint’s mission.
Each member brings their own professional background, but what they share is a strong sense of responsibility and belief in the work being done in Cambodia.
They, too, make the journey — travelling to Cambodia to see the impact firsthand, to build relationships, and to stay connected to the communities they support.
The UK charity exists for one clear purpose:
To raise funds and direct them straight into Heartprint’s projects on the ground.
